Difference between rigid pavement and flexible pavement

*    rigid  pavement are constructed by                  cement , sand , aggregate ,Bars are also           provided  in rigid pavement .

     flexible pavement  are constructed  by             Bitumen coal tar.

*   rigid pavement  have  high flexural                   strength.

    Flexible pavement  contains  low  flexural      strength .

* Rigid pavement have initial cost is high.

   Flexible pavement its initial  cost  is  low.

* Rigid pavement  have long life span .

   Flexible pavement  its  have short life span .

* In the rigid pavement  joints are required ,     joints are very necessary  for rigid                   pavement because at the time of  hot               temprature stresses are   create.

   In the flexural pavement  joints are not           required.

* In the rigid pavement  are not required           high quality  sub -grade .

   In flexible pavement  high quality  sub-           grade  are  needs.

* In the  rigid pavement  due to high                   temprature  stresses are  develops .

   Stresses are not applicable  for flexible           pavement .
